DESIGN COORDINATOR TRAINING/BOARDING
Responsibility:
The HR department is responsible for initial approval and coordination.
The Lead Designer and Training Coordinator are responsible for overseeing the onboarding process.
The Design Coordinator is responsible for completing the onboarding tasks and training sessions.
Timing:
The onboarding process should commence immediately after HR approval and should be completed within the first two weeks of employment.
Procedures
Software Setup:
Set up a User Account on BuilderTrend:
Create a new user account in BuilderTrend and provide login details.
Set up with CAD Software (AutoCAD, Canva, Illustrator):
Install and configure CAD software on the new coordinator's workstation.
Set up Time Tracking (BuilderTrend, Time Doctor):
Register the new coordinator in time tracking systems and provide training on usage.
Share CAD Blocks, Templates Files, and Checklists:
Distribute essential files and checklists to the new coordinator.
Take BuilderTrend Training on Basic Site Navigation:
Enroll the new coordinator in BuilderTrend's basic navigation training module.
Company Setup:
Set up Email and Signature:
Create a company email account and standardize the email signature.
Login Information for Permitting Websites:
Provide login credentials for relevant permitting websites.
Time Off Request Instructions:
Explain the process for requesting time off.
Point of Contact Index and Org Chart:
Share the company's point of contact index and organizational chart.
Assign First 1-3 Projects for Training:
Allocate initial projects for the new coordinator to work on for training purposes.
Orientation:
Cover Company Values, Mission, Overall Customer Experience Goal, and Company Goals in the Next 1-3-5 Years:
Present the company's core values, mission, customer experience goals, and future objectives.
Motivation and Mindset:
Discuss the importance of motivation and a positive mindset.
Team Introduction:
Introduce the new coordinator to the team.

Cover Day-to-Day Tasks:
Provide detailed information on daily responsibilities, including:
