Interview Checklist
Please ensure the following instructions are practiced when conducting interviews. Prior to conducting the interviews, review each application and prepare your interview action plan to ensure you offer uniform and positive impressions to all candidates.
1. Introduce yourself
Sample: In-Person Interview example: Hello, my name is (your name). I am the Hiring Manager for this position at National Pro Security Services. We are meeting today because your application for the ( title) position has been selected to move forward in the interview process. This interview will take about 30 minutes. Is that okay with you?
2. Describe position responsibilities and/or show the applicant the job description.
3. Use the Interview Recording Sheet to guide your interview questions and then record the candidate's responses by using designated space on question - all records must be objective- meaning, no opinions.
4. Ask questions in the order presented. Ask as many follow up questions as possible (all in context and in compliance) to help you determine applicant fit to the company and position.
5. Ask the candidate if he/she has any questions for you.
6. Deliver a consistent closing statement whether you believe the candidate will be moving forward in the process or not.
Sample: Once again, thank you so much for your interest in this opportunity. Please note our selection process will take another week or two. We will be in contact with you if you are selected to be a part of the team.
